Dear ALL,
We, the members of ALL Ladies League (ALL) are a group of enthusiastic women who have taken myriad initiatives to bring upon a positive change in our world, connecting to the unknown and involving the unattached in the process, thus ensuring a collective responsibility and joint achievements for ALL. ALL is an international chamber for women promoting leadship, entrepreneurship and friendship across cultures; it is a global movement connecting women dedicated to the expansion of well-being, wealth and welfare. We have remained committed to empowering not only women, but everyone around us who needs the support of like-minded people while plunging into plans and actions that call for a social upliftment or a personal resurrection.
We are pleased to announce that ALL has taken yet another step, dedicating itself this time to promote reading and writing across the world, and in the process, celebrate and connect books, authors, poets and readers on a common platform. And we will do this through stories sourced from different secions of the society.
We call this initiative #TellMeYourStory.
Every life has a story. Those are either suppressed or they disappear just as they appeared because they are never told, neither heard! Stories appear in our own lives and in other's; else they are hallucinated. #TellMeYourStory aims to ensure that these stories get heard. We want more people to write, and write more; and also read more, appreciating some beautiful ideas across the world, that often go unattended. Our primary objectives are to :
encourage more people to write and share their stories
help develop the habits of reading and writing among more people
stand by authors across the world helping their work to reach out further and giving them a new promotional platform
encourage the power of imagination among youngsters and youth and help them channelise well
encourage senior citizens to submit stories with an aim to bring back the "stories by grandparents" culture back for the little ones, albeit virtually.
From Monday, 18th January 2016, the submissions gate will stand open. We are inviting entries for stories, fiction or non-fiction and also poems, book reviews and excerpts (but no film reviews or articles; we only want stories), between 200-800 words. The stories would be selected and edited. They would be available for the readers from 14th February 2016, Valentine's Day. Entries should mandatorily mention "Story for ALL Readers and Writers" in the subject line. For submissions please do use the box in the Contact page of this site and mail yor entries from there. Your entries would appear under your name in this blog space and this is the corresponding social media page : https://www.facebook.com/ALL-Committee-Chairperson-for-Readers-and-Writers-481675925324598/. We will introduce a hashtag #ALLreadersandwriters over twitter while sharing your stories. Feel free to use the hashtag for your promotions.
Given below are the Terms & Conditions for the entries received under #TellMeYourStory. Please do go through them. When we receive your stories, we understand that you have agreed to the Terms & Conditions.
Together we welcome you and your submissions. Lets unite once again, through words less spoken.
Warm regards,
Koral Dasgupta
ALL Committee Chairperson for Readers and Writers.
